KHIN LAIJ, DDS

Dr. Khin Laij was born in Jakarta, Indonesia and relocated to Taiwan Republic of China in 1967. He attended the National Defense Medical Center in Taipei and graduated with his DDS degree. After marrying his wife, Lily, together they relocated to Mattoon to open their dental practice. Dr. Khin began to hone his oral surgery, implant and restorative skills and, more recently, he has added orthodontics to his list of dental accomplishments.

Dr. Khin is a member of various dental organizations, including the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Khin and Dr. Lily have been married for 47 wonderful years. They are very active members of the First Baptist Church in Mattoon and the Mattoon Lion’s Club. When Dr. Khin is not enjoying his work in the office, he is known to be hitting a few golf balls at a local golf course, as well as hours of volunteer work in the community through the organizations he is affiliated with.

LILY LAIJ, DDS

Dr. Lily was born in China then at a few months of age she moved to Taiwan Republic of China. She entered school at Kauhsiung Medical University and graduated with a DDS degree. She then moved to Mattoon with her husband, Khin, to open their dental practice together. Here, Dr. Lily began to hone her orthodontic skills. Dr. Lily is a member of various dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and International Associate of Orthodontics. Dr. Lily met her husband while working in the hospital in Taipei, Taiwan, and they have been married for 47 years. They are very active members of the First Baptist Church in Mattoon and the Mattoon Lion’s Club. Dr. Lily enjoys her time away from the office by singing in the choir.
